Letter: Republicans wrong on environmental issues

10/22/2018

Tuesday October 16, 2018

People need to wake up to risks of global warming.

Editor:
Global warming is here, regardless of what the so-called president says. There is catastrophic weather all over the world, and there's hardly a day without partial or total cloud cover.

In case people haven't noticed the lack of decency and morality in the Republican Party, how about this? The Environmental Protection Agency official in charge of protecting children's health has been put on leave, and the EPA is looking to weaken rules on mercury emissions. All while President Donald Trump removes restrictions on coal burning. People need to wake up.
